When should I use Beamable Tournaments and when is it overkill?

I am evaluating Beamable for use in a tournament system
The play is asynchronous, so players challenge each other and compare scores against the same AI opponent. Winning player is rewarded with coins.
It seemed like your tournament systemwould be the best place to start, but wondering if it will be overkill?
