Beamable C# Microservices Storage is a tool that enables developers to create, deploy, and manage databases all from within Unity. You get full access to your database through Beamable C# Microservices, or through any third party database tools you prefer. You can achieve a new level of control over your game with Microservice Storage.
More details are covered in related feature page(s).
• Microservices - Create and deploy your own code which we host
Imagine a game where your players can generate messages, items, challenges, or customized artwork.
Now, imagine that your players can share their creations with friends and competitors.
Beamable C# MicroStorage enables you to store your player’s data. You can decide how to share the data between your players, whether it's through a message board, a community workshop, in-game locations, or whatever else you can think of. The sky's the limit.
User-Generated Content is a way to keep your players engaged with your game long after launch, and Beamable C# Microstorage makes it easy to implement in a way that makes sense for you.
Beamable C# MicroStorage uses MongoDB 5 to deliver first-in-class database capabilities to your MicroServices. You can leverage geospatial queries, time-series data, multiple indexing, and the ease of NoSQL document storage techniques to build your games.
We are dedicated to delivering the best of MongoDB, without any of the hassles. When your game scales up to support millions of players, Beamable’s MicroStorage will scale with you.
Beamable offers a wide suite of capabilities like Inventory, Leaderboards, Announcements, and much much more. However, your game is unique, and you might require a custom server solution to empower your players.
If you need to build a custom mechanic, you’ll probably need to be able to persist data. Beamable C# MicroStorage will let you store your specialized data however you need. You could store custom reports, algorithm acceleration structures, configurations, player progressions, or anything you need to drive your game.
The MicroStorage feature is built for Unity Developers first and foremost. Our goal is to bring best-in-class and industry-standard server practices to the Game Maker and let you focus on your game, not server code.
Your code will receive a pre-authorized connection to your database, so you can skip thinking about database configuration, and jump straight to what makes your game fun and unique. You never need to leave the standard Unity Workflow to spin up a database and connect a MicroService to it.
We’ve pre-packaged data snapshot and restoration tools, as well as a data explorer so you can visualize, edit, and monitor your data. We will also give you a raw connection string to the database so you can find the workflow and tools that work best for you.
